Sunday Rundown

I had truly intended to spend the day cleaning the house. Once the rain set in around 10AM or so I made the executive decision to forego that plan and instead spent the day lazing around doing things that make me happy. Here's how I spent my Sunday:

1. Sunday Morning Ritual:

For the past 2-3 years Blue and I have had this ritual on Sunday mornings that involves reading the Sunday paper and watching CBS Sunday Morning. (Occasionally we throw in a trip to Shipley's but we haven't done that in a while--trying to get back our girlish figures...or mine at least). Sometimes this routine makes me feel like an old fart, but I love it none the less and don't plan on giving it up anytime soon.

2. Some Mii Time:

Yes. It's true. The Billings-Allen household has joined the world of Wii. I received one this past Christmas and we've have been hooked since. We're currently obsessed with the new Super Mario Bros. We've beaten the game the first go round, but are now trying to find all the hidden star coins in order to unlocked the secret worlds. Man, do I sound like a nerd or what? :)

3. Point-and-click shopping is dangerously fun:

My good friend Kat turned me on to this fantastic website. If you haven't heard of it I would recommend checking it out. They carry a myriad of household products...anything from toilet paper and toothpaste to floor polish and even things like batteries and stamps. Their prices are comparable to the local big box and they ship your order to you in 2 to 3 business days for no charge. I spent at least an hour today perusing the products and creating my product shelf. I'm looking forward to receiving my first big blue box in a few days.

4. I L.O.V.E. cooking Sunday dinner:

And this ladies fantastic group of blogs/websites gives me great ideas. I've noticed lately that others have mentioned her on their blogs, so you may already be familiar with her fantastic world of food, photography, cattle ranching, home schooling, and all out frontier living. I spend at least on hour or two a week exploring her world and almost always end up with a new recipe to add to the list. I'll be making one of her dishes for our dinner this evening: Cajun Chicken Pasta. Sounds mouthwatering, eh? Speaking of, I think I'm gonna go get it started right now. Check her sites out the next time you need a food idea.

You got a Wii!? Fantastic. Have you tried Boom Blox? We played it over the holidays at Trevor's parents' house. It's fun! Just let me know when you want me to come over and play it with you ;).

I've been slowly building my Alice.com list--I can't wait to hear how it goes, so keep me posted.

I just sent you an email back about the birthday cake stuff. I'm about to pee my pants with excitement.

Ummmm just last week I wanted to make some cookies and made the 'spreaders' from PW site. YUM-MO and super simple. (and lots of butter.)
